Whenever there’s an accident reported in the middle of the night it’s never good news. These accidents usually involved drugs or alcohol. And they often involve very serious injuries and fatalities. This was the case in Indianapolis this past weekend where a crash resulted in a driver being killed and 2 others injured.
Police were called to the scene at about 1:20 a.m. in West Indianapolis. The crash took place at the intersection of West 34th Street and North High School Road. By the time rescue crew arrived at the scene, the driver of one of the vehicles was already dead. The driver and passenger of the other car were both taken to the hospital in critical condition.
The crash just happened yesterday morning. The authorities are not sure what happened yet. The investigation is still ongoing. And, while we did comment earlier that a lot of late accidents involve alcohol or drugs, that has not been confirmed here.
The identities of the victims have not been released. Nor has the make and model of their vehicles. However, authorities did confirm that one driver is dead and the other two are still in critical condition.
These accidents can be difficult to investigate. When one driver passes away, you really only get the perspective from the other driver. And, in this case, even the other driver is unable to fill the police in on just what happened.
The investigation is ongoing at this time. We imagine that toxicology reports will be done on all involved to see if intoxication played a role in the crash. There has been no comment from the families of those injured as of yet.
